Membership fees are used for the following at the discretion of the Working Committee: Annual liability insurance, annual membership in the National Association of Newcomers Clubs (necessary for insurance purposes), subsidizing selected Club-wide activities, room rental for any Club meetings, website hosting and related costs, supplies or expenses associated with elections or selected Club activities. No refunds are made for members who are unable to attend subsidized events.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club is designed for the enjoyment and fair benefit of all members. When applying for membership, each new member is asked to provide their personal information: name, address, phone number, and email address. This personal information including email addresses provided to the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club shall not be distributed to nonmembers, businesses, or any other organizations. Any use of the Member Directory for business, political, charitable or any other purposes beyond Club activities is strictly forbidden. Business solicitation is prohibited at all Club gatherings and in the club Facebook group.
The following uses may be made of your personal information by the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club:
A newsletter is sent periodically to your email address announcing Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club events and information . You may opt out of receiving emails from the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club at any time.
All mass emails from the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club are sent in blind carbon copy mode (bcc), keeping email addresses invisible to recipients. Individual club groups that you join may use your personal information as per your authorization to contact you regarding club events and information
A Member Directory is provided as part of our club website (www.notlsocialclub.com). Members can choose to have their contact information visible or not. Members may contact each other using this supplied personal information. Contact via email through the website is available but member email addresses are not visible to other members. Any use of the Member Directory for business or commercial purposes is strictly forbidden. Members may request to be excluded from the Member Directory.

All members are expected to treat each other with full respect. Discrimination within Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club based on gender, religion, race, age, marital status or sexual orientation will not be tolerated.
Any incidents of disrespect, harassment, bullying, or other unacceptable behaviour can be reported to the Club Chair.
If warranted, the member’s membership will be revoked without any refund of membership fees.

By submitting this application, I, as a member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club agree that I will not hold responsible the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club or any member(s) of its organizing committee(s), for injury, loss, or damage to myself or to my property which may occur during my participation in any of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club’s activities, interest groups, or events. I acknowledge that I participate in all activities/groups/events of my own choosing and am responsible for my own behaviour and activity choices.
I approve of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club using any photo/video taken of myself during any Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club activity, group, or event for the purpose of promotion, communication or publication at the discretion of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Social Club.
